The spleen helps with digestion, energy, and immunity. It also plays a role in removing dampness from the body. In TCM, dampness is seen as one of the main causes of poor health and weight gain.
The first and most important habit is to avoid cold food and drinks. The spleen prefers a warm environment. When we take cold items like iced water or chilled fruits, it can slow down digestion and make us feel tired or heavy.
To support your spleen:
Drink room temperature water, especially after exercise
Let fruits warm up before eating
Choose warm soups or gentle drinks that comfort the stomach
These small changes can help your body digest better and feel more energised.
