In this chapter, we’ll talk about the spleen, which is very important in TCM. It’s not the same as how Western medicine sees the spleen. In TCM, the spleen helps with digestion, energy, and immunity. It also plays a key role in removing dampness from the body.
Why is dampness important? In TCM, dampness is seen as one of the biggest causes of poor health. It can lead to bloating, tiredness, and even weight gain. So if we want to lose weight and feel better, we need to take care of our spleen and reduce dampness.
