Mud, Rain & River Crossings! Exploring Styx River State Forest

Описание: Join us and our friends the ‪@brisbane4wdclub‬ for an unforgettable long weekend adventure in Styx River State Forest! Despite the rain, mud and single digit temperatures, this was another great 4WD trip. From touring through misty forest tracks, to tackling the Styx River's 24 crossings, there was plenty of adventure to go around.

🏕️ We set up camp at an incredible free campsite called Wattle Flats, deep in the forest- the perfect base for muddy explorations and fireside feasts.
We didn't let the weather dampen the mood! We huddled around the fire with some mulled cider and wine, paired with ‪@explore_moor‬'s wood-fired pizzas, and an epic gooey cheese skillets cooked right over the flames.

🚙 On Sunday we tackled the Styx River State Forest's 24 river crossings! We gave it a solid crack but managed about six before the conditions got the better of us. Still a wild ride and a heap of fun!

This trip was muddy, cold, and absolutely worth every second. Hit play to see how we made the most of it!
