School Lunch Ideas - Homemade Sushi Lunch

Описание: If you think making sushi is hard - this is the video for you! See how easy it can be to use simple leftovers to make a delicious and nutritious last minute lunch for yourself or your kids.

Sushi made from leftover rice and quinoa mix topped with seeds, shredded rainbow carrots, cucumbers and avocado - I kept this one vegetarian. (optional: slice up smoked salmon or use any leftover meats from dinner, eggs also are great or even cream cheese). Also in the lunch: rainbow carrot coins, edamame, edamame kabob on shredded red carrots, orange slices with an checkered apple wedge and some MySuperCookies Chocolate Heros as a treat (available from www.mysuperfoodscompany.com).

What's needed for the sushi:
nori
rice (I used leftover jasmine rice mixed with quinoa - this gives a boost of protein to the lunch)
sesame seeds or chia seeds or even hemp seeds (any seeds or no seeds will work)
any leftovers or shredded veggies for filling
a little bit of water for sealing the edges
sushi roller is optional (I have it in the video but wanted to show you that it isn't required so I didn't use it to roll the sushi)

For the veggies I used a Julienne Peeler

For the edamame kabobs I used a mini bamboo skewer (http://www.amazon.com/dp/B00IOVCMNA?p...)
