How? Thanks to its unique three-stage oil separator design.

Here’s how it works. The oil, which is used for lubrication and for the cooling of the element and motor, is separated from the air by a three-stage cyclonic technology.

That’s right, we use cyclones as an additional oil separation step. Let’s take a closer look at each step in this unique process.

The first stage takes care of the heavier oil particles. In this stage, the air and oil mixture enters the vessel at high speed. There are centrifugal forces at work here because of the high speed of the mixture, and this allows for the heavier oil particles to drip down the walls into the oil reservoir.

The same basic principle is used for the second stage. The flow of oil and air is split into a number of different cyclones.
The partially cleaned air and oil mixture enters a cyclone and is whirled around. The smaller dimensions produce even higher centrifugal forces. Again, the collected oil drips down in a separate reservoir. The cleaned air is discharged from the top of the cyclone.

The third and final stage uses classic filtration. By this last stage the oil concentration in the air and oil mixture has already been lowered significantly. The remaining oil is then filtered by an oil separator filter.

The end result is a significantly cleaner working environment.
The oil discharge is lower than 1.5 milligrams per cubic meter.
