Up to 90% of people with spinal cord injury (SCI) may have spasticity - quick or sustained involuntary muscle contractions. Typically, one begins with the least invasive treatment and then progress as needed as certain medications can have unwanted side effects. Often, more than one treatment strategy is required. These often include physical therapy (PT) and occupational therapy (PT).
