Part 2 of Gallegher's Goes West: Crusading Reporter originally aired on October 30th, 1966. Although the Sundown Kid is now behind bars, the corrupt mayor of Brimstone is still in office. With the town's sheriff also in jail, Snead is appointed to the office until a replacement can be found. Snead and Marshal Neimeyer confront the mayor with proof of his guilt, but the crafty politician refuses to resign, figuring he can withstand public criticism. The lawmen decide their only course of action is to force a recall election. Starring Dennis Weaver as The Sundown Kid, John McIntire as Whit White, Roger Mobley as Gallegher, Ray Teal as Detective Snead, Jeanette Nolan as Erm Whitek, Larry D. Mann as Mayor "Genial Gene" Riggs, Bruce Dern as Turk, Peter Graves as Marshal Frank Neimeyer, Red organ as Stevie and Dennis Cross as Jake Powers.
