Описание: *Blessedness: In Matthew chapter 5, we are introduced to Jesus’ powerful and life-changing “Sermon on the Mount” (which continues into Matthew chapters 6 and 7). As it says in Matthew 5:1-2: “And seeing the multitudes, He [Jesus] went up on a mountain, and when He was seated His disciples came to Him. Then He opened His mouth and taught them” (NKJV). The first section of the Sermon (Matthew 5:1-12) begins with what are known as “The Beatitudes.” The word “Beatitudes” comes from the Latin word “beātitūdō” for “blessedness,” and in this section Jesus made powerful declarations of blessedness. **Applying Matthew 5:1-16**: One of the countless reasons that make this particular part of Jesus’ Sermon (and the Sermon as a whole) so powerful, extraordinarily relevant and life-changing is that it helps us to think deeper—especially when it comes to our values, ethics, and how to live a meaningful and purposeful life. We can experience blessedness, or God’s blessings, when we seek God wholeheartedly, and completely seek (and live by) God’s beneficial directions.
