No-load tone pots are common, but if you want still more treble from a passive guitar, then here's my recipe for a no-load volume pot. After it's filed and swapped in, the second wafer is essentially a switch that disconnects the earth at full volume.
16mm Alpha pots are easy to modify, but with practise, most other types of pots can be disassembled and modded as well. Note which orientation the wafer is installed. You may have to file the track on the left side for other types of potentiometer.
In my 1973 P bass, the difference is subtle but noticable. With no-load tone and volume pots, electrically, the pickup is connected straight to the jack when all the pots are dimed.
The tone control seen here is my diy tonestyler from the previous video. When dimed it also has no load on the pickup.
