February 6, 1988 - Danny Ainge and Trent Tucker finished fifth and eighth, respectively, in the 1988 NBA 3-Point Shootout. This was Tucker's second and final appearance, having finished fourth in the league's inaugural shootout in 1986. Ainge, meanwhile, made four appearances in the 3-Point Shootout, churning out two fourth place finishes to go along with a fifth and an eighth.
As a related aside, the NBA's game clocks officially began showing tenths of a second at the start of the 1989-90 season. Anything less necessitates an alley-oop or tip.
