Exercise # 2 - Footwork Pick up, Jumping Cone & Throw (birdie/shuttlecock)
This footwork exercise will help you to improve:
1. Split Step & Reaction
After you jump over the cone, when landing and take off to different directions, be sure to apply a split step to improve transitioning to different direction. This will help you to boost your speed and reaction.
2. Strengthen Your Leg Muscle & Ankle
As you require to lunge when picking up the birdie, this will stretch your leg muscle and will develop strength to your leg muscle. This will also help you to strengthen your ankle .
3. Improve Your Endurance
As you jump over the cone, you not only build your leg muscle, but you build your stamina, endurance as you have to jump over the cone, it will burn your leg muscle and your endurance will be develop.
