Chattanooga Man Charged In Friend's Death

A Chattanooga man is charged with killing a passenger in his car. That passenger was friends with the young man who is now in custody, charged with his death.
20-year-old Braylon Glenwood Davis is now locked up on charges of vehicular homicide, reckless endangerment and two DUIs. This case started back in December one morning on South Germantown Road. Chattanooga police say Davis picked up his friend, 25-year-old Taylor Lee Collins.
Police say Collins was thrown from the car when it went off the road. It flipped and landed up against this home. Collins died later at a nearby hospital. His obituary describes him as an outdoor-loving recent grad, whose life was cut short.
While it's been nearly six months since the accident, a tarp still hangs from the garage that their car hit.
When nearby residents heard police charged Davis for drinking underage and getting behind the wheel, they were upset. "It's really sad. For us as young people, we should really crackdown on driving under the influence. Especially when it's hurting people in our community and things like that," says Devotis Kendrick.
