This PTV Vissim & Viswalk model shows a simplified train station with one platform, two tracks for stopping and one bypass track. There are 6 train lines:
ICE Sprinter (not calling at the station)
2 ICE (fast trains)
3 RE (local trains), of which line 120 terminates at this station and then exits to a destination in the opposite direction
At the station, alighting passengers either transfer to another train or exit the station. The split of destinations for alighting passengers is defined by arriving train thus enabling individual destination splits based on each individual train.
Boarding passengers use different shares depending if they start their journey at this station or if they arrive from a fast or local train. Passengers are also shown color-coded based on their origin and travel state.
Some trains change their driving direction at this station, as can be seen towards the end of the video.
