In what is known to be the only known footage by both myself, and the author, of a UNION PACIFIC RoadRailer train, UP 6071 (SD60) heads south past the Mt. Vernon dispatchers office with 26 Trailers.
The Union Pacific Road-Railer was a shortlived venture into the Road-Railer market, witha Chicago-Texas train.The service started in May, 1988, a few weeks before this video was shot, and ended in July, 1989. Most of the trailers were sold to Triple Crown, and you can still see them, as they still say "We Can Handle It" on the trailers.
