Описание: PTF-17 Vietnam Era Nasty Class Patrol Boat as viewed from USS Little Rock CLG-4 Painting Progress for 26 August 2022. The weapons look to be mounted in place and the stern recently painted.
These vessels were close the size of World War Two PT boats, also made out of wood, but unlike the PT's of WW2 they were powered by Deltic Diesel engines made in England. During Vietnam they were operating out of DaNang, and in Subic Bay, Philippines these underwent major over haul and repair. Below a few links to learn more about them.
