While trying to learn how to crochet, I express my deepest emotions about my struggle with making friends, social anxiety, and trying to get out of my comfort zone. Then I go to El Corte Ingles for a coffee meetup with expat women in Gaia, and meet someone special... After the coffee meetup, I explore Norte Shopping mall with a new friend! The following days we meet again in the heart of Porto for a watercolor painting class at Hugo do Lago's art studio, meet a lovely lady at lunch, and we all go to the posh area of Foz. The next day, we took a day trip to Miramar to explore the golf courses and discover how warm and friendly the Portuguese people are. Goats on the loose aside, it was a beautiful day with beautiful people, and I am so grateful for this experience.

I moved from the USA to Porto, Portugal alone... for 30 days. Back in 2020, while we were all stuck in quarantine, I realized, I didn't want to feel stuck in the US. I live in the middle of nowhere, and there is nothing to do and no one my age to grow with. I wanted to travel the world, have new experiences in life, and once that option was taken away, I knew I needed to find a second option to live. While researching factors such as safety, weather, healthcare, quality of life, cost of living , etc., Portugal kept coming up as the best overall option. So, it sounds great on paper, but what is it really like? That's what I wanted to find out, by moving here for 30 days. I want to preface this by saying this is actually my third trip to Portugal, but I wanted to start this vlog channel with the most recent trip because I feel like it is the most important trip that I wanted to share with you guys first, and will work backwards on my previous trips to Lisbon (including Sintra and Cascais), Coimbra, and Porto (including the Douro valley and Braga) after this series.
