One of the great early race cars, from European Grands Prix to the Indianapolis 500, this 1933 Alfa Romeo 8C 2300 "Don Lee Special" owned by Hugh Taylor of the UK was bought straight from the racetrack and hasn't been altered since. It's a magnificent example of an original and significant piece of automotive history.
Leigh Keno fell hard for this car when he caught up with Mr. Taylor during the 2010 Pebble Beach Tour d'Elegance. Leigh's enthusiasm is hardly surprising, naturally, as he recognizes the importance of preservation to give us a true sense of the story behind the sheet metal.
