1935 Alfa Romeo P3 Tipo B - 3.2-Litre Straight-eight Supercharged Engine - Goodwood FOS 2019

Описание: This is the splendid Alfa-Romeo P3 Type B from 1935 belonging to Jennie Taylor which you see here in action during the 2018/19 editions of the Goodwood Festival of Speed ​​(FOS). The car has an exciting sports past, having participated in 1939 in the Indy 500 driven by Louis Tomei who finished 15th. Part of the 8C series, this is one of the fifteen models built between 1932 and 1936, a single-seater suitable for Grand Prix and endurance races, and an in-line 3.2-litre eight-cylinder engine with a supercharging system consisting of two Roots-type coaxial volumetric compressors capable of developing over 300 hp in its latest evolution. Weighing less than 700kg and in the hands of Tazio Nuvolari, the 8C won everywhere. It is considered by all to be a masterpiece of motorsport.

Questa è la splendida Alfa-Romeo P3 Tipo B del 1935 appartenente a Jennie Taylor che qui vedete in azione durante le edizioni 2018/19 del Goodwood Festival of Speed (FOS). La vettura ha un passato sportivo interesasnte avendo partecipato nel 1939 alla Indy 500 guidata da Louis Tomei che si classificò 15th. Facente parte della serie 8C, questa è una dei quindici esemplari costruiti tra il 1932 ed il 1936, monoposto adatta per i gran premi e le corse di durata è equipaggiata un motore ad otto cilindri in linea da 3.2 litri con un sistema di sovralimentazione composto da due compressori volumetrici coassiali tipo Roots capace di sviluppare oltre 300cv nella sua ultima evoluzione. Con un peso inferiore ai 700Kg e nelle mani di Tazio Nuvolari, la 8C vinse un po' ovunque. Da tutti è considerata un capolavoro del motorsport.
