I Was So Excited… But This Place Disappointed Me | Day 3 Vlog

Описание: Day 3 of the trip started with a lot of excitement.

I began the vlog from Khajjiar and was really excited to start filming here.
I had planned to capture drone shots and beautiful views, but things changed completely after reaching.
The place was extremely crowded, there was a lot of garbage inside the grassland, and the lake water looked polluted.
The grass was completely dry, probably because of the winter season, but overall the experience was disappointing.

I had come here with a lot of expectations.
Around 10 years ago, I had to turn back from almost 15 km away due to a death in the family.
Coming here again felt like fulfilling a long-pending dream, but unfortunately, the reality did not match the expectations.

While standing there, this place reminded me of Baisaran Valley in Pahalgam.
After the tragic attack that happened on 22 April 2025, the thought of those innocent lives lost made my heart sink.
Because of this feeling, I decided to leave Khajjiar early.

After that, we visited Kalatop.
The drive to Kalatop is around 3 km and feels like a jungle safari with narrow forest roads.
You can take your own car inside, or hire a taxi from the entry point, which usually costs around ₹1000–₹1500 for a round trip.
At Kalatop, we explored the forest area and saw the Forest Guest House built in 1925.
It is a very peaceful and beautiful place, and we spent almost two hours there.
There are restaurants and kids’ activities as well, but they require going further downhill.

Later, we revisited the local food spot where we had paratha on Day 1.
Parathas were over this time, so we had chai and bread omelette, which tasted amazing.
After lunch, we visited the war memorial park again for a short while and then returned to the hotel.

Overall, the day was enjoyable, but Khajjiar was truly disappointing for me.
