Scope & Content: The original release sheet reads: TYPHOON TOLL PASSES 1,000 JAPAN - Grim scenes of the aftermath of Japan's worst typhoon since 1938, which capsized a train ferry taking a toll of over 1,000 - and wreaked added havoc ashore, burying dozens in landslides, and destroying hundreds of homes. PROTEST TROOP WITHDRAWAL KOREA - Mass demonstrations protest withdrawals of United States and United Nations troops, demonstrations that reportedly have drawn Washington criticism. Thousands of students take part in the march. HUNTING DOG TRIALS ITALY - Champion setters and pointers from all over Europe vie for honors in international field trials. With keen noses and well trained form, the sporting dogs unerringly track their quarry. "HORSE NIGHT" AT THE DRIVE-IN CALIFORNIA - "Horse night" at the drive-in. An enterprising theatre manager sets up oats and rye on the rocks and invites the equine crowd in for a special showing of Universal-International's short subject, "Stallions On Parade." PARACHUTE CHAMPION SHOWS STYLE FRANCE - Parachute champion Sam Chazat demonstrates split second judgment and iron nerves with a thrilling free fall from a mile high plane, opening his chute only at the last minute. RHODES' PINCH HOMER WINS SERIES OPENER IN 10TH NEW YORK CITY - A thriller-diller finish to the opener of this year's World Series, as the Giants and Indians go into the last half of the 10th tied 2-all. Dusty Rhodes' breaks it up, slamming a homer with 2 on base, and that's all for the day.
