Описание: SOUND REMIXED In this vlog, we maximize our short time in Berlin by visiting two locations right next to each other, the Cold War separated lives and families The Berlin Wall and Nordbahnhof, one of Berlin’s former ghost subway stations sealed off until 1989 are right next to each other Today it looks like a normal S Bahn stop — but once you walk through the long corridor, the history hits you.

In this video, we explore the displays, photos, and preserved elements that show what this station looked like when it sat inside the Berlin Wall’s no man’s land. Trains from West Berlin passed through without stopping, guarded by watchtowers, barbed wire, and dim lights. No one could enter. No one could leave.

First we explore the Berlin Wall and then go into the ghost train station. We walk from the entrance hall, through the former ticketing area, down to the platform — imagining what it must have felt like when families were suddenly separated and communication was cut off completely.

If you’re visiting Berlin on a tight schedule and want to understand the reality of the divided city, Nordbahnhof and the adjacent Berlin Wall are one of the most powerful places to experience it and make best use of your time.
