Last episode: survival architecture — elegant systems designed to be temporary. This episode: system corruption.
Adaptive mechanisms became pathological. Civilization created a specific problem: a threat that never resolves. Social rejection. Continuous evaluation. Compliance requirements with no endpoint. The sympathetic activation never got the all-clear signal. The temporary state became the default state.
Defense mechanisms aren't dysfunction — they're survival systems stuck in the wrong mode. Your shadow got weaponized: the analysis, the criticism, the pattern recognition — suppressed because "you're overthinking." Your fight response inverted. That voice saying "my mind is the problem" — that's corrupted code running.
Guilt: "I did something wrong." Shame: "I AM wrong." Shame functions as an internal control system. You didn't write this code. Someone installed malware on your operating system without your consent. And then blamed you for the bugs.
The system is working exactly as installed. It's just that the installation was the problem.
