Convertible Bench Makeover

Today is a furniture transformation video. It’s an incredible bench that converts from a park bench into a full picnic table. It’s super cool! I wish I knew how to make one because I would totally share that with you guys!

So, when I got my hands on this bench it was already assembled and sanded. The only thing to do was to stain it (or paint, or leave it as is, but the stain was decided upon). Personally, I’m a huge fan of darker woods with some red in them. That’s a personal preference and I know everyone will have a different idea of what color should go on the wood, but a rich deep reddish-brown was decided upon for this bench.

I want to admit upfront that I am not a painting expert, or a furniture renovation master, or anything like that. I heavily relied upon the advice from the people at the hardware store where I purchased the stain. If you like the color, I’ll link it below.
