Forestry team take home gold at Civil Service Excellence and Innovation Awards
Congratulations to our Forestry team on their victory at the 10th Civil Service Excellence and Innovation Awards, held on 29 May.
The team, comprising Barry Delany, Brian O’Shaughnessy, Lorraine Quigley, Frank Barrett and Mick Nolan, were awarded first place in the ‘Climate Action and Sustainable Government’ category for their project, ‘Building a Spatial Analysis Toolkit to Drive Smart and Sustainable Decision Making in Public Services in Forestry’.
Two other teams from the Department were finalists in the prestigious awards with their projects on the Area Monitoring System (Eoin Dooley, Diarmuid Dwyer, Andrew Burns, Marion Graham and Ailis Robinson) and the Veterinary Inspection and Audit Programme (Elizabeth Clayton, Adam Kiely, Alan Churchill, Gerard McCallig, Elita Menendez, Caren McAteer and Derek Reddy).
