Many people in Parliament seem more interested in keeping secret about all their work and they seem upset when people come to know about their mistakes. In a world that loudly applauds public achievement, curated images, and visible piety, Jesus directs our gaze to a different audience: "Your Father who sees in secret." Mathew 6:18.
This is not a warning of surveillance, but the ultimate comfort of being truly known. Every act of genuine kindness done without an audience, every silent prayer uttered in a darkened room, every secret struggle endured with faith—none of it is lost. All of it is seen by a loving Father. He perceives the motive behind the gift, the longing beneath the prayer, the courage in the unseen battle.
Therefore, our call is to shift our focus from the applause of the gallery to the approval of the Father. When we give, pray, or fast not for the admiration of others, but as an authentic offering to God alone, we are freed from the exhausting tyranny of human opinion. We become truly integrated people, where our inner and outer lives align in sincerity.
The reward He gives is not a transactional payment, but the natural consequence of this intimate relationship. It is the deepening of our own character into Christ-likeness, the profound peace of living before His eyes alone, and the eternal weight of glory that far surpasses any fleeting earthly accolade. Live for that audience of One.
