How to Make Kimchi Fried Rice
✅Ingredients
1 cup kimchi
2 tablespoons butter
Onion, thinly sliced
2 cloves garlic, minced
½ cup ham, diced
4 cups day-old cooked rice, short grain
½ cup kimchi juice
2 tablespoons green onion
Salt to taste
Pepper to taste
1 tablespoon oil
1 egg
✅Instructions
Drain the kimchi well, reserving juice. Slice into strips. Set aside.
In a wok or wide pan over medium heat, melt the butter. Add the onions and garlic, and cook until they are softened. Add ham and cook until lightly browned. Add sliced kimchi. Cook until softened. Add day-old cooked rice. Stir until well distributed. Add kimchi juice and stir well. Add green onions, salt, and pepper to taste. Stir well.
In a pan over medium heat, heat oil. Add egg. Season with salt and pepper.
To serve, place the kimchi rice in a serving bowl and top with a fried egg. Garnish with chopped green onions, nori strips, and sesame seeds.
