In Acts 10:1-6, we meet Cornelius, a devout man who was known for his generosity, prayers, and good deeds. By all outward measures, he was a “good” person. Yet, despite his righteous actions, Cornelius still needed Jesus.
God sent an angel to him, showing that even the most “good” people are in need of the gospel message. It’s not our goodness that saves us, it’s the grace of Jesus Christ.
Are we trusting in our own good works, or are we relying on the salvation that only Jesus offers? Even good people need Jesus.
