If your ball slices right or hooks left, it’s not random—and you don’t need 10 swing thoughts to fix it. In this lesson, I’ll show you the simple ball-flight rule that makes curve finally make sense:
Face starts it. Path curves it.
By the end of this video, you’ll know:
What controls the start direction of the ball
What controls the curve (slice vs hook)
How open vs closed face affects your shot shape
A simple Gate Drill to start straightening things out
✅ Beginner Drill (Gate Drill):
Set two tees just wider than your clubhead a few inches in front of the ball. Swing through the “gate” without hitting the tees—first with no ball, then with a ball. Track where it starts and how it curves.
