American Girl by Bulova vs the Vintage American Girl "K"

Описание: This is a quick review and comparison of the new American Girl by Bulova and the original Bulova American Girl "K".

The American Girl "K" became popular after being seen on the Netflix series The Queen's Gambit in 2020. The main character, Beth, receives one from her mother for her 18th birthday. Her mother says, "It's a Bulova", very proudly. Beth then wears the watch in remainder of the series.

I am a panel member in the myBulova community. MyBulova is a Bulova vintage watch site that focuses on Bulova vintage watches from 1916 to 1979 (see link below). I had the only American Girl "K" on the myBulova site and Bulova reached out to me when they decided to reimagine this watch. It was an honor to loan my watch to Bulova for their redesign. You can see my original watch on page two of the pamphlet that comes with the new American Girl by Bulova watch.

My original watch was on display in the Bulova Museum in the Empire State Building until just recently so I am just getting around to making this video. Making YouTube videos is not a thing I usually do so please excuse the quality of the video. Thanks for watching my comparison. Bulova did a fantastic job on this redesign and I love it! The new American Girl by Bulova is just a beautiful as their original American Girl "K" that debuted in 1957.
