Today we're back for another two-part hunt. This first beach is technically known as San Elijo State Beach just north of Cardiff and just south of Encinitas.
The main purpose of this hunt was to put the new CKG Stainless Steel Pro Scoop through its paces and see how it holds up in some less than ideal terrain with lots of chunky rocks and such.
Needless to say, the scoop held it's own and performed as good as one could expect from a beach scoop in said terrain.
As far as targets, we managed to pull almost as many rings as we pulled coins! Unfortunately the iron count was deep and plentiful as well as our fair share of the pesky bloburites.
All in all, I really enjoyed this beach and I hope you enjoyed the outing as well.
