This is part 2 of episode 38, and we're just a bit further south at Cardiff State Beach, from where we were in part 1.
This is a much more spread out beach with a lot of dry sand to explore and it stretches even further south if you've got the time to cover a lot of ground.
We thoroughly grid the norther stretch with almost zero targets aside from meeting a fan and fellow detectorist from Colorado, which was really cool!
We then made our way further south and managed to find a few very interesting targets along with coins and the usual.
As we're about to call it a day and head home, sirens start howling and the police helicopter starts circling overhead. Apparently they were attempting to apprehend an armed felon who was fleeing in the area... crazy crazy.
Hopefully they caught the person and hopefully you enjoyed the outing to Cardiff!
