Homescale Apple Breeding: Planting the Apple Seeds

Описание: How I grow my apple seeds out in flats in the greenhouse. The seeds have been stratified in the refrigerator for a couple of months or more to help them break dormancy. I plant them in flat mix that I make by using old flat mix with 1/3 new compost added along with some coffee grounds and wood ashes. Once they sprout and grow in the greenhouse for a bit, they will be moved outside into a garden bed to grow for the season. After that, we'll graft the tops onto dwarfing rootstocks and put those into permanent trial rows until they fruit. All of which will be covered in future videos.
