Some organizations may not be product design responsible. However, they are responsible for design and development of the manufacturing process which cannot be excluded from the scope of IATF 16949. The input to this process will be product design data obtained from the customer or from organizations internal design process. And then we may turn these inputs into outputs in our design and development of manufacturing process.
The aim of this process will be to produce serial product in our manufacturing process under right quality and in right volume. The requirements of the point 8.3.5.2 are specifying a certain list of outputs from manufacturing process design output.
