First Flight of the Retrofitted Emirates 777-300!

Ahead of the earlier announcement launch, which was scheduled for 11 August, Emirates anticipated the first flight of its newly retrofitted 777 to 7 August and we were onboard to check it out.
EK had mentioned that the Business Class seat design would be inspired by the A380 and in fact it is very similar. Seats are slightly wider though and there are some new design touches such as the private minibar, the new buttons to operate window blinds from the seat, and the seat control panel buttons.

This is also the first EK 777 to feature their Premium Economy seats.
The first aircraft to be released was A6-EQH, which already previously featured the “game changer” first class. It is not clear however if their fully enclosed first class will be installed into the aircraft which don’t already feature it.
