How to repair a carbon foil stab easily

Описание: It's not easy to find a used Stab Gong Veloce S v2, and the only one I could find was badly damaged. So I decided to fix it, even though I'm not very good at this kind of work.

The first thing I did was put some painter's tape on it to create a base for the epoxy. I'm going to use a cheap epoxy from Temu that I've used before for small repairs, and it's worked well. The good thing about this type of epoxy is that when you squeeze it, both components come out together, evenly, and black. I mix them in a yogurt container with a wooden stick. I use this mixture to fill the gaps. I spread it with a small metal spatula that I also bought from Temu. Now I have to let it dry for 24 hours.

I put some weight on top to make sure it was straight, because it was a little crooked. You have to remove the paper carefully so you don't peel off the epoxy. I trim the excess with scissors. I remove the tape residue with a little alcohol.

While cleaning it, I accidentally broke off a piece of the repair, so it's time to apply another coat of epoxy.
This time, I also fold it over to give it more shape, and let it dry for another 24 hours.
It looks a bit of a mess, but the surface is covered.
Now it's time to sand it smooth.
I round off the corner.
I adjust the corner so it's level.
It's not looking bad, but I see that one area is too thin. So I'm going to apply another coat of epoxy to fill the gaps and make the whole stap the same thickness.

So I clean off the dust thoroughly.

And this time I'm going to apply a thinner epoxy that gives a better final finish.
This one is also from Temu, but despite being cheap, it works very well. You have to mix the two components in equal parts, and then add a little black ink to make the repair look nicer.
I add a little filler and smooth it with the metal spatula.

Back to sanding, first with 800-grit sandpaper. And finally with 1200-grit wet sandpaper for the final finish.

And that's it, you can hardly tell which side is the bad one.

Now all that's left is to test it. It works well, there's nothing strange about foiling.
