Описание: I am showing viewers the Perkins Brailler (also known as a Braille Writer), reviewing the parts (keys, levers, margins, etcetera), and available accessories which are sold separately, as an indepth look at this braille-producing machine for the blind. Braille is the key to literacy and independence for many people who are blind or visually impaired. Braille is for the blind, as print is for the sighted. The Perkins Braillewriter or Brailler, is a braille typewriter that produces braille, and is the equivalent to a Manual typewriter which produces print, and is an indispensable tool for both the novice and avid user.
The Perkins Brailler has been the most widely used mechanical braille writer in the world since its invention in 1951. With over 70 years of craftsmanship, the brailler stands the test of time with a resilient metal casing and a closed body architecture that limits dust accumulation. Whether learning to read braille or working on math equations, the Perkins Brailler was built to accommodate a range of uses. The wide paper length, full margin adjustment, and fast response time (between typing and output), allows for versatile, lifelong use. Similarly, full right and left margin adjustments to accommodate any paper size and line centering, enables users to braille varying-sized documents, such as letters, reports, school work, note cards, recipes, and more.

I also bring awareness to a program that allows some blind / vision impairment, braille readers to get a FREE Perkins Brailler when they do not have any cash to spend on such a new, pricey item for their personal use. This particular organization reHomes Perkins Braillers (also known as braille writers), to Those in need, but it is only for a select group of individuals who reside in a certain area to qualify. Tip: Occasionally, I come across Programs and more that can benefit individuals in the Blind, Low Vision, and Visually Impairment Communities, to Grow, Thrive, or Level-Up their Life, and will bring it to the Channel. Unfortunately, Braillers are expensive and not many People have Access to Funding to Purchase these tools for the blind. With this in mind, a program, Big Brailler Bounce or Big Brailler Bounce Initiative, aims to ensure any unused Perkins braillewriters find their way into the Hands of a blind Child, blind Adult, or blind Senior who can benefit from the ability to write in braille. Since 2015, this initiative has been collecting unused Perkins braillewriters, refurbishing them, and re-distributing them to those in need at no cost to any of the recipients. Since this initiative began, many braillers have found new, appreciative homes.
