Fox News legal analyst Gregg Jarrett predicts US President Donald Trump could be entitled to "considerable" damages from the BBC if he moves forward with his lawsuit against Britain’s national broadcaster.
Trump launched a $US5 billion lawsuit against the outlet over an allegedly misleading edit of his January 6 speech during a 2024 documentary.
Despite the BBC admitting its wrongdoing and apologising, it asserted it will not pay a settlement to President Trump.
The US President told GB News that he has an "obligation” to take the BBC to court.
Critics claim the BBC documentary was misleading because it left out the comment of Trump urging supporters to protest "peacefully" and stitched together remarks artificially.
Trump previously secured millions from large settlements with CBS, ABC and Meta over the last 12 months.
