Former White House chief of staff Mick Mulvaney claims US President Donald Trump fired Kristi Noem after not being on the “same page”.
“The ultimate issue that led to Secretary Noem’s departure was her testimony yesterday to the Senate,” he told Sky News host James Morrow.
Mr Mulvaney discussed an ad campaign which Secretary Noem claimed Trump had approved, “the president said he remembered things differently”.
“That’s usually the end of a cabinet secretary when they’re not on the same page as the president.”
