Gregory Wilfred Conner, 64, passed away on April 7, 2025, at his residence in Jensen Beach, Florida.

Greg is survived by his devoted wife, Vicky (Giles) Conner, his daughter Jessica (Justin) Johnson and his cherished granddaughters, Dayton, Lona and Victoria. He is also survived by his sister Lynn (Jeff) Mellott, niece Sara Conner; many beloved aunts, uncles, cousins and lifelong friends who were like family.

Greg was preceded in death by his parents, Neville and Teresa, brother, Glen and nephew, Patrick. No doubt they greeted him with open arms.

Born on February 11, 1961, Greg was a US Navy veteran of Desert Storm, a lover of all things music and sports. He never missed a chance to talk music- especially if it involved Frank Zappa, John Prine or Todd Rundgren or to cheer, and sometimes yell, for his beloved Mets, Jets, Knicks and of course the Kentucky Wildcats. If you knew Greg you knew his heart was big and his opinions strong. He was the life of every party; gregarious, generous and always ready to share a laugh. Greg never met a stranger, and his vibrant spirit left an impression on everyone he met. In his memory, listen to your favorite song a little louder, root for the underdog and tell your favorite people you love them.

A visitation (10-11 a.m.) followed by a memorial service at 11 a.m. will be held June 14 at Pax Christi Catholic Church (4001 Victoria Way) in Lexington, Kentucky. An informal celebration of life will follow the service at Pepe’s Restaurant off Richmond Road.

In lieu of flowers, please consider donating to your favorite charity – or better yet, buy a round of margaritas at your favorite restaurant (top shelf only) just as Greg would have it.
