A horrific fire accident at a nightclub in Arpora, North Goa, claimed 25 lives and left nearly 50 injured. The blaze reportedly started after a gas cylinder explosion, followed by multiple blasts that intensified the fire. A viral video shows a belly dance performance during the “Bollywood Banger Night” moments before flames burst from the ceiling, trapping over 100 people on the dance floor.
Narrow exits and thick smoke made escape nearly impossible. Survivors say delays in cab and flight timings saved their lives.
Local authorities worked overnight to identify victims. Four tourists and 14 staff members are among the deceased. Police have arrested the club manager and seized the premises.
