These are the basics of washing with Monat, but they work for all brands to get squeaky clean:
1. Start with sopping wet hair
2. Shake your shampoo well and emulsify it between you hands until it turns white before applying
3. Your shampoo is for your scalp, keep your hands at 10 & 2 around your head to ensure no part goes unwashed
4. Shampoo at least TWICE!
5. If you have thick hair, separate your hair into sections and wash them individually
6. Conditioner goes EVERYWHERE, ends to roots
7. Remember that clean hair feels like straw, which may be different than you're used to. It's a good thing!
Other tips to help you:
• The suds indicate when your hair is clean. If you're not getting a super rich suds on your second wash, shampoo again.
• You may need to use a bit more product (large grape-size amount) as you're first transitioning over to Monat. You won't need to use that much forever, just your first few wash days.
• Rinse better than you think you need to. Once you think you've rinsed well enough, rinse again!
