On August 13–14, 2025, twe hosted the Africa Dyslexia Conference in Accra, Ghana, under the theme “Shifting Minds, Inspiring Action.”
The gathering united over 500 delegates from 14 countries—including policymakers, educators, parents, researchers, employers, and young people with lived experiences. Over two transformative days, participants explored critical themes such as language and literacy equity, neuroscience, policy innovation, assistive technology, family empowerment, and workplace inclusion.
The conference concluded with a collective call to action: to dismantle stigma, reform policies, invest in teacher training, expand access to assistive technology, and reframe dyslexia as a source of strength and creativity.

Together, we are shaping a future where every learner with dyslexia and related learning differences across Africa is understood, supported, and celebrated.
