***Edit to clarify the turnaround point from the RD Brian Myrick: “This is a good attempt at trying to put it together. Couple key changes. The location of the “crossover” from last year from southbound side to the northbound side is not the U-turn/lap start… Instead, athletes will head past that spot and get to signal Mtn blvd, or above it I should say, on the highway. There, after a small transition to the uphill, they will u turn and head back up the climb. This will make for the best and safest U-turn. No crazy U-turn on a descent but instead a nice spot where momentum will be your friend and allow you to transition not only around the turn but from the descent to the climb. You’ll pass this on your way out so you’ll have plenty of time to make sense of it. The other change is we will now be riding on the south bound side of the highway all the way up to 153…. Once you get just south of 153, you will crossover to the northbound side and ride in the left lane to the northern turn around. The southbound stretch remains the same with riding in the left lane until you hit 153 where you will shift over at special needs and ride to the right with outbound cyclist to your left.
