Winter rains have caused havoc in the Garden Route and Little Karoo in the Western Cape, with flooding reported in various areas.
At Oudtshoorn, water from the catchment areas of the mountains has led to the flooding of several rivers and informal settlements, as well as road closures in and around the town.
People have been cut off from their homes in the mountainous areas.
