A Ketu-grasta Lunar Eclipse will occur on March 3 coinciding with Dola Purnima this year. In Puri, the eclipse will begin at 3:20:17 PM and attain moksha at 6:47:13 PM.

As the eclipse coincides with the festival, important restrictions will be observed. From sunrise until 6:47 PM, cooking rituals, offerings (bhoga), and temple rituals (Deba Niti) will remain suspended. All major rituals will need to be completed before sunrise.

On Dola Purnima, Mahaprabhu is traditionally adorned in Rajadhiraja Besha and proceeds to the Dola Vedi. However, due to the eclipse, temple authorities will complete the rituals before sunrise as per religious guidelines and expert opinions.

With multiple rituals scheduled on the same day, it will be a challenging task for the servitors to complete all ceremonies within the stipulated time.
