What does mercy have to do with fasting?
During the Daniel Fast, God changes our hearts. Fasting reveals what is inside us. And today, Jesus challenges us to let mercy overflow instead of judgment.
Let us use reflect upon this questions today:

Do I expect mercy from God while withholding it from others?
When I speak about others, do my words reflect mercy or criticism?
If God used the same measure on me that I use on others, would I feel peace?
Who needs my forgiveness today?
Who needs my generosity today — my time, my attention, my encouragement?
In what area of my life do I need to replace judgment with compassion?
Am I generous only when it is convenient?
What would it look like for mercy to overflow in my family or workplace?

If you are walking through Lent, fasting, or seeking spiritual renewal, this message will challenge and encourage you. May God help us to be merciful just as he is.
