The biggest technological development of our age is about to fail. The old motto of plug & play will need to evolve into plug & forget for the Internet of Things to succeed. Billions of sensors will make our entire world more efficient, productive and healthy. These enormous amount of sensors will require a change in paradigm of how we look at products. At this scale maintenance and replacements are no longer an option. Simon van der Jagt presents a new way of powering wireless devices forever, with communication signals that are all around us.
