E26 is really moving air with those strong wingers today. The 8 week old eaglet is also learning to balance talons on the nest rails while jumping and winging. Later for dinner, Daddy M15 brings a fish. Dad feeds E26 then Mom decides to join them on the nest. E26 shows a little aggression and big attitude toward Mom. This is completely normal. I was surprised to see this display so soon. The eaglet is protecting his/her meal even if it means, " go away mom!" F23 will not be intimidated, ha! Thanks for watching!

This nest is located in North Fort Myers, Florida. They usually lay eggs in November, and eggs typically begin hatching in December. This is the third season with the new female F23, whom M15 chose after longtime mate, Harriet, disappeared in 2022 leaving behind 2 eaglets which M15 successfully raised by himself until they both fledged.
