In day 4 of the course, you'll be led through a 10-minute guided metta meditation. You will practice self-love rewiring and continue to cultivate good vibes.
This meditation guides practitioners through cultivating metta (unconditional love) by first relaxing the body and mind, then generating a warm, glowing feeling typically felt in the chest area.
The practice offers three methods to kindle this feeling - using phrases, visualizing a cute animal/baby, or recalling a friendly hug - and emphasizes inviting rather than forcing the experience.
Research suggests that experienced practitioners show less self-referential brain activity during metta meditation, indicating a more selfless state of awareness.
