In this video you will learn how to make shahi gajrela. This winter special recipe is very easy to make and super delicious. So do give it a try and enjoy with your family and friends.
INGREDIENTS
full fat milk 2 liters
rice 1/4 cup soaked for at least 2 hours
carrots grated 1/2kg
sugar 1/2 -3/4 cup
seeds from 8 cardamom (crushed)
khoya 100 grams
cream 1/2 cup
Method
Bring milk to boil and add carrots and rice (soaked for 2 hours and crush roughly with hands) and cook on medium high flame till milk starts to reduce. Now add sugar and crushed cardamoms and keep cooking till it starts to get thick. Keep stirring so that it doesn't stick to bottom. Also keep scraping the side with spoon. When milk is reduced to less than half add khoya and now keep stirring till you get kheer consistency. You can add nuts at this point if you like. Now switch off the flame and add cream. Mix well, turn the flame on to medium and cook for another 5 minutes. Your shahi gajrela is ready. Cool it down for 10 to 15 minutes and dish out. Garnish with almonds and pistachios and enjoy,
